The PlayStation 4 is now available everywhere in North America, and Sony has brought many different games to the console in hopes of users building up their PS4 libraries. With dozens of titles to choose from, here's a list of the top five PS4 launch games available on the console.

5. Battlefield 4 ($60 or $9.99 with PlayStation 3 trade in) - This may be the best reviewed game available on the PlayStation 4, but Battlefield 4 has suffered from some technical issues that have hamstringed the game on the new console. Users may want to wait to upgrade to the next-gen version of the game and stay on the PlayStation 3 version of the game until DICE fixes issues.

4. Killzone: Shadow Fall ($60) - The PlayStation 4-exclusive may not be the killer app that Sony was looking for, but the game is a strong demo of the PlayStation 4's abilities and delivers an enjoyable gameplay experience. Throw in an entertaining multiplayer experience, and Killzone: Shadow Fall is a worthy title for PlayStation 4 owners to check out.

3. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag ($60) - The tale of Edward Kenway gets a graphical upgrade on the PlayStation 4, and the game is smoother overall on the new console. With so many different collectibles in the game, having the ability to switch between the game and other apps could be the feature that convinces gamers to get the next-gen.

2. Need for Speed: Rivals ($60) - This dark horse game is a solid addition to the PlayStation 4 game roster, and with Driveclub delayed, it may be the game that racing fans turn to. With strong gameplay and a more open setting, veteran fans and newbies alike have much to look forward to.

1. Resogun ($14.99, free in November for PlayStation Plus owners) - This PlayStation Network game is free for the month of November, and is the best option for day one PlayStation 4 owners to download and play. The game is fast-paced, addictive, and offers a supreme challenge even for those who are familiar with the twin stick shooter genre. Considering the game is normally $14.99, PlayStation 4 owners should take advantage of the free trial of PlayStation Plus that comes with the console and play Resogun for free.
