The unexpected reunion of former "Dawson's Creek" stars Joshua Jackson and James Van Der Beek will surely make all 90s fans of their old school TV series shriek in excitement.
An Instagram post of the 37-year-old Van Der Beek shows him standing beside Jackson, and they were all smiles. His caption read, "The most pleasant run-ins can happen in the most unexpected places."
The two used to play the role of best pals in the hit series "Dawson's Creek." Van Der Beek played the lead role of Dawson Leery while Pacey Witter was portrayed by Jackson.
Though the actors have aged significantly, they remain pleasantly handsome in the looks department. Daily Mail mentioned how some of their certain unique qualities can still be noticed like Joshua's cheeky grin or the gentle puppy eyes of James.
Van Der Beek has been married for four years and has three kids. Jackson is in a long term relationship with actress Diane Kruger.
Their unplanned meeting happened several days after the announcement of the ATX Television Festival Season 4 was made for June 2015. The event's Writer's Room Reunion panel will be attended by "Dawson's Creek" creator Kevin Williamson along with showrunner Greg Berlanti.
There will also be several producers, writers and assistants present during the reunion panel. They are: Julie Plec, Liz Tigelaar, Rina Mimoun, Dana Baratta and Maggie Friendman among many others according to E! Online.
It is still unknown whether the stars of "Dawson's Creek" will be participating in the reunion event.
"Nothing could be more exciting then to be back with so many people I respect and admire than my fellow writers from the show... and our amazing creator Kevin," Berlanti told E! News.
Another former cast member Katie Holmes, who recently made her much awaited career comeback, revealed how they have all gotten in touch with one another even after the series ended.
"You know, we all still keep in touch and support each other," the actress said. "I love them all so dearly. I'm so excited for everyone and proud," she added.
People Magazine wrote that it's been 11 long years since they all bid the show goodbye.
