The much-awaited "GTA 5" Online Heists DLC, also referred to as the 1.18 Update, has finally been confirmed by Rockstar Games.

"We know you're all excited for more Updates to come and we've got some really exciting stuff in the works to continue adding to, expanding and evolving the world of Grand Theft Auto Online - including the highly anticipated launch of Online Heists which will be available for all four consoles as the first GTA Online Update to happen after the game launches on PS4 and Xbox One," Rockstar Games said in the post.

The confirmation comes after an alleged "GTA 5" Heists DLC leak emerged. Express reported that the leak suggests apartment changes and tie-ins with heist features.

"A CCTV-panel, featuring camera controls and a front layer large screen, can be seen in the first picture which could point to a new heist feature or an expansion to the existing CCTV options available in certain properties," reads the Express report.

The second screenshot shows "a new hi-fi system and laptop situated next to a huge flat-screen TV" in the apartment, Express added. The third leaked photo "shows the revamped kitchen, boasting new utilities which will reportedly add new features to the game."

Whether or not the screenshots are related to the recently-announced "GTA 5" Heists DLC remains unclear -- the same way the release date for the update is bleak.

Rockstar Games, in another post, said that "GTA 5" gamers should expect a Day One Title Update. But the team didn't specify if the Heists DLC will be part of the patch.

Instead, Rockstar Games tells gamers to "get ready for continuing free content Updates for Grand Theft Auto Online, including the highly-anticipated launch of Online Heists (which, to be absolutely clear, will be available for all four consoles to enjoy)."

It is safe to say that the "GTA 5" Update 1.18 release date will come after the Day One patch. Nevertheless, Rockstar Games has a lot in store for gamers on the title's Nov. 18, 2014 release date, as it pointed out in the post.

On top of improved graphics on the next-gen "GTA 5" game, players also get to enjoy up to 30-player mayhem, a new character creator, the much-anticipated first person mode and double the props in the creator tool, said Rockstar Games.

PC gamers will have to wait a few months more before it arrives on Jan. 27, 2015.
