Michael Cudlitz, who plays Abraham Ford in "The Walking Dead," hopes that his character would survive longer than his comic book counterpart.

According to Design & Trend, "In the Issue No. 98 of the comics, Abraham is shot in the back of his head by a Savior named Dwight using a crossbow."

There's a huge possibility that the character will meet the same fate on the hit AMC show, but Cudlitz admitted that before Abraham dies, "I would love to be involved with Negan. If they decide I'm going to go during that time, I would love to have some badass, hand-to-hand deal with Negan," Cudlitz said, as quoted by Zap2it.

"Personally, I think he's more frightening before we meet him, because we see the reach of what he does in the comics and stuff. I'm hopeful we hear about him quite a bit, see the effects he has. I can hold off on meeting him for a while, partially because I don't know how they're going to create that character to be able to exist in the world of television because of the stream of profanities that he speaks with," the actor added.

David Alpert, the show's executive producer, said that he cannot wait to introduce Negan's character to the viewers. He said that Negan is "one of the greatest villains ever created" and is even crueler than The Governor, the show's prior antagonist, Design & Trend noted.

But comic book creator Robert Kirkman knows Negan deserves more screen time, hence, it may take time before the character gets integrated in the show. "It wouldn't just be an aside or a wink and nudge. That would be a pretty monumental event that would possibly be something we would shape an entire season around. So, I wouldn't expect that to just be kind of slipped in casually," Kirkman said, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.

Watch out for more of Abraham in the zombie drama's sixth episode titled "Consumed." It will air on Sunday, November 16, on AMC, Design & Trend noted.

According to a report from International Business Times, the episode's plot reads: "Stakes are high when members of the group must go on a heroic rescue mission in a previously known location." Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) are assumed be the aforementioned heroes as they were shown attempting to save someone in a building filled with walkers, as what was featured in the trailer.
