"Pitch Perfect" star Anna Kendrick admits that she also faces criticisms for her looks.

In an interview with Marie Claire for their upcoming December issue, which she garces the cover of, the 20-year-old actress says that people usually scrutinize about her is her physical appearance.

"The most common thing that I get is, 'Am I the only one who doesn't think that Anna Kendrick is pretty?' And you're like, 'No, you're not the only one. Arguably, all of the boys in my high school agree with you," Kendrick revealed.

Kendrick will play the role of Cinderella in the soon-to-be-released American musical fantasy film "Into the Woods." The actress will star alongside big names such as Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp. When asked by Marie Claire about the movie's modern interpretation of her role, Kendrick said, "The character is thoughtful and complicated. You see what happens after she marries the prince, when you start to face problems in seemingly perfect situations."

The actress continous, "The interesting thing about her is she overthinks things, she's uncertain - we don't see that in most versions. In a lot of ways, I think it's this incredibly brave story. She's neglected and abused her entire life she finally gets love and it's not the kind of love she was looking for, and she stands up for herself." 

Marie Claire also asked about Kendrick's short break from filming movies. The actress admitted that at times, she wants to live a life that's far from the spotlight. "The whole going-movie-to-movie-to-movie thing, I've been living that way for three years. Like I need to be a person and, you know, maintain relationships," she said, Marie Claire reports.

The December issue of Marie Claire will hit newsstands on November 18.

'Pitch Perfect 2'

"Pitch Perfect 2," the sequel of the 2012 hit musical comedy film, is also one of Kendrick's upcoming films. According to The Christian Post, the follow-up will have more drama and bigger performances from the cast.

Kendrick plays the lead character Becca, and will be joined by Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Platt, Skylar Astin, Anna Camp, and Britanny Snow, among others. According to Platt, who plays nerdy character Benji Applebaum, "Pitch Perfect 2 is about the Bellas and what happens to them as they get older. All of your favorite characters are coming back" but it will even be more exciting with the coming of additional cast members," The Christian Post reports.

Kendrick also revealed that she will have a stunt scene on the movie. "There is a point [in Pitch Perfect 2] when I am at a great height and have to jump, and it was actually totally terrifying and took me like three takes to even jump. Even thinking about it right now makes my stomach turn," Kendrick said, as quoted by The Christian Post.

"Pitch Perfect 2" will come out in theaters on May 15, 2015, The Christian Post noted. It will be directed by Elizabeth Banks, who also portrays a character in the film.
