The next generation Samsung tablet is rumored to have a screen size of almost 6 inches and a release date of Sept. 2015.

Phone Arena reported that according to a tipster, the Korean tech company is brewing up a device with a display measuring 5.9 inches. The close to 6-inch display will also be Ultra HD Super AMOLED -- which means that it could very well be the first ever mobile with 4K display at 700 pixels per inch in resolution.

The recently released Note model has a Super AMOLED display measuring 5.7 inches with a 1440 x 2560 resolution (551 ppi).

No mention of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in the tip but interestingly, Phone Arena's tipster dished that mass production for the 4K display device is scheduled Aug. 2015. According to the outlet, the schedule is "just in the timeframe for the Note 5 release, if everything goes according to traditions."

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was announced September of this year, at the IFA event in Berlin, Germany. If Samsung is doing the same for the Note 5, fans could very well get a glimpse of the next generation phablet sometime from Sept. 4 to 9, 2015 at the same event.

GSM Arena said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 could also come with "an Exynos 7420 chipset, which would have four Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53." Such under the hood component has been rumored for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6. Value Walk added that 4GB worth of RAM would complement.

"The camera in the Galaxy Note 5 could be as powerful as 21-megapixels in resolution, while there are also murmurings that the device will pack a very powerful front-facing 6-megapixel camera capable of full HD video capture. The device is also expected to feature a 4000 mAh battery with features like ultra-battery saver mode," Value Walk stated in the report.

What do you think of a 4K display on the next Samsung Galaxy Note? The South Korean company has already admitted to "UHD 2160x3840 pixels AMOLED displays for mobile in the works for 2015" in its Analyst Days presentation slides last year, as noted by Phone Arena.

Value Walk also pointed out in the report that Samsung needs to "produce something outstanding" to make up for plummeting profits.

It should also be noted that competition will be slightly different in the phablet industry this time around as competitor Samsung has already rolled out the iPhone 6 Plus.

Will a 4K display be enough to give the Samsung Galaxy Note the edge? Share your thoughts.
