Award winning actress Anne Hathaway is not having any second thoughts to reprise her role as Catwoman if Chris Nolan will direct the movie.

In line with the news that there will be female-led superhero movies to be made in the years to come, the 31-year-old actress did not show any hesitation to the idea of starring in a standalone Catwoman film.

During the press conference of her recent movie "Interstellar", she was asked about the idea by IGN.

She said, "I would be totally up for doing it if Chris [Nolan] was involved. For me, the thing that made doing that part particularly fun was that she existed in his Gotham. Without him I don't think it would be the same thing.

"But I also wonder about that part. If because she's a thief, it's not better to have her be a small part in a larger film.  So she can go through and steal aspects of the film. But when the focus is squarely on her, I don't know if it works as well," she explained

The idea of a cameo part in the upcoming films of DC was also discussed. However she mentioned that when it comes to Catwoman's backstory, "mystery serves her well."

"Oh yeah that'd be fun. I'd definitely love that. I want to play her again. I don't know - this is just speculation, because I do think about it sometimes - I think she's got an amazing backstory and it would be great to see her get her own film. But I don't know - she is someone who... mystery serves her well so I don't know what a whole film would do. But who knows?," she added as quoted by IGN. 

If Hathaway's condition to having Nolan as the director before she plays the role again remains the same after some time, then the project may not push through.

According to the Inquisitr, Nolan already confirmed his non-involvement with any up and coming projects of DC. Even if Hathaway would agree to do a cameo or supporting role for a future Batman solo film, for example, it may not fit the type of Catwoman that she plays in the Nolan-directed world.
