'Sleepy Hollow' Season 1 Episode 8 Spoilers: Showdown With Headless Horseman Reveals Shocking Secrets

Halloween may have passed, but the brand new series “Sleepy Hollow” continues to cast an eerie tone over autumn’s remaining months, leaving fans tossing and turning all night from ghoulish nightmares. But while their sleep schedule may have taken a hit, they approve. The show is a hit. It looks like “Sleepy Hollow” is here to stay. Get out your night lights. And now that the new series in entering the thick of its premiere season, fans will stop at nothing to get their hands on any details they can on the upcoming episodes.
On Monday’s episode of “Sleepy Hollow,” titled “Into Darkness,” Ichabod, Abbie, Captain Irving and Jenny team up to face the Headless Horseman. During their confrontation, however, Ichabod will come to a startling realization about the Horseman’s true motive.
Unfortunately, evil lurks around every corner. There’s no escape. On the Nov. 25 episode, a search for a missing person leads Ichabod and Abbie to a colonial-era house that holds secrets from Ichabod’s past that unleashes an ancient evil.
For those of you who missed the first half of the season, here’s a brief synopsis. The show picks up in the midst of a Revolutionary War battle in 1781 with Ichabod Crane as he comes face-to-face with a massive masked horseman and shoots him down. The horseman continues to attack until Ichabod manages to behead him, but not without suffering a serious wound himself. He then wakes to 200 years in the future with a head full of bad memories and looming suspicion of lurking evil.
Meanwhile, in the wake of an increased number of beheadings in Sleepy Hollow, local cop Abbie Mills is introduced as she’s a week away from transferring out of town without any clear motive. Before she can leave, however, Ichabod and Abbie both find themselves against a hellish new foe.
“Sleepy Hollow” airs Monday nights on FOX.
