"Ted" fans, add the National Football League supporters in your circle as lead actor Mark Wahlberg revealed that Patriot's quarterback, Tom Brady, is present in the film's sequel.

"Tom's in the movie. He plays himself but he does an amazing job. Funny, funny moment," Wahlberg told Bill Simmons on his "B.S. Report" podcast on Grantland Wednesday.

He also said that the Super Bowl two-time MVP would also make a cameo appearance in the feature-length film "Entourage" which Wahlberg produced.

More podcast revelations

Wahlerg also confessed trying to calm his inner fanboy when they were shooting the film.

"I'm playing an air conditioning guy so I'm asking him to sign the paper and I ask him if he can sign that to me and Ted and put No. 12 there, and can he put 'Eli Manning sucks.' And can he put 'Wes Welker is a traitor,'" Wahlberg said in the podcast.

The actor also said they were just like playing around, but one caught Wahlberg's attention: "I'm staring at his eyes and I'm like, 'Oh my God, they're bluer than Daytona Beach on MTV Spring Break.'"

The NFL superstar also confirmed his cameo in the film with a post on his Facebook page the day after Wahlberg's interview.

'Ted 2' additional characters

Producer Media Rights Capital and distributor Universal Studios said "Ted 2" is set to be released on June 26, 2015, as reported by Variety.com. However, no trailer has been released yet.

The film is the Seth MacFarlane sequel to "Ted," a comedy about a man, John Bennett (Wahlberg) and his sentient, rowdy and foul-mouthed stuffed teddy bear Ted (voiced by MacFarlane).

Movie Web reported that Patrick Warburton would reprise his role as Guy, John's gay coworker, and Mila Kunis as John's girlfriend, Lori Collins. Kunis, however, would have a smaller part in the sequel as Amanda Seyfried would play the lead female role.

Jessica Barth also returns as Tami-Lynn, the girlfriend and coworker of Ted, The Wrap said.

MacFarlane announced on Twitter the addition of Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman and David Hasselhoff to the cast.

Other confirmed cast members of the sequel include Richard Schiff, Michael Dorn, Dennis Haysbert, Curtis Stigers, Sam J. Jones and John Slattery, various reports said.

With just a $50-million budget, the 2012 movie grossed around $550 million, of which, $219 million was made in North America, Box Office Mojo reported.

"Ted" was also the 12th highest grossing film of 2012 and the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time, an article of the Entertainment Weekly said.

Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes gave "Ted" a 6.4 out of 10 rating. In its consensus it said, "[Its] 'romance versus bromance' plot is familiar but the film's held aloft by the high-concept central premise and a very funny (albeit inconsistent) script."
