The grisly details of toddler Scott McMillan's death last week have been revealed by a recently released police affidavit.

International Business Times reported that according to the affidavit, "the boy had been punched and beaten with sharp and blunt objects." The perpetrators are his mom, 31-year-old Jillian Tait and her boyfriend, 23-year-old Gary Lee Fellenbaum.

Tait and Fellenbaum live in a trailer home in Pennsylvania, together with the latter's estranged wife, Amber Fellenbaum, noted International Business Times. Joining the three are Scott McMillan, the boy's older brother Ryan and the Fellenbaum's 11-month old daughter.

According to Opposing Views, Tait and the Fellenbaums were arrested for Scott's death. Tait and Gary Fellenbaum were charged with murder while Amber Fellenbaum was charged with child endangerment.

Amber reportedly "did not participate in the ritualistic torture," said NY Daily News but called 911 when she found out Scott was dead.

"Little Scotty McMillan is dead. Over a three day period ... he was systematically tortured and beaten to death," Opposing Views quoted Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan.

"He was punched in the face and in the stomach. He was scourged with a homemade whip. He was lashed with a metal rod. He was tied to a chair and beaten. He was tied upside down by his feet and beaten. His head was smashed through a wall," Hogan added in the Opposing Views report.

Philly.com reported that Gary Fellenbaum "almost immediately" started abusing the McMillans after they moved into the trailer home.

But what reportedly ticked off the 270-pound Fellenbaum was when Scott refused to eat breakfast, noted Philly.com.

"...Fellenbaum became enraged when the child refused to eat the toast they gave him for breakfast, and he punched him in the stomach and face before throwing him against a wall repeatedly," reported Philly.com. "When the boy stopped responding, they put him in the shower to revive him before putting him to bed."

Philly.com added that Scott, with a swollen face, again refused to eat Tuesday. "The couple taped his arms and legs to a chair and beat him until he stopped moving," said the outlet.

Tait and Gary Fellenbaum then laid Scott on his bed and headed out to shop for a car, stop for pizza and a nap, noted Philly.com. When they returned, the 3-year-old boy was no longer breathing and blood poured from his nose and ears.

Hogan said that the sight of the little boy's body was enough to send nurses crying. "Our ER nurses see a lot of terrible things, but when they saw his body, they wept," Philly.com quoted Hogan as saying.

"Hogan said he would seek the death penalty against the mother and her lover," reported NY Daily News.
