Soon-to-be mom Hayden Panettiere opened up about her pregnancy, and she's not ashamed to talk about her weight gain.

In an exclusive interview with Hello! Magazine, the 25-year-old actress gushed about her excitement when it comes to becoming a mother.

"I'm so ready to hold my baby girl - I'm going to be a very hands-on mom," Panettiere said, as quoted by Hello! Magazine, adding, "I'm thrilled that I am having a girl first because I feel like I know a lot about raising a strong woman. I feel very empowered myself and I think my daughter will, too."

Hello! Magazine also noted that Panettiere, who was known for her petite and muscular frame, wasn't shy to admit that she gained some weight while waiting for the birth of her baby girl with 40-year-old Ukrainian boxer, Wladimir Klitschko, her fiancé.

"I'm 5 feet, 2 inches and I started out at 106 pounds and guess how much I weigh now? Around 145 pounds," she revealed to Hello! Magazine. "And the worst part is that my feet are still size five and they're going, 'What's going on with all this weight?' They're about to snap from underneath me with the strain."

The actress is in her eighth month of pregnancy, and she thinks that her weight gain is partially due to her past as an athlete. "I'm still quite muscular, so if you're running around carrying 40 pounds of extra weight, you're going to build extra muscle," Panettiere told Hello! Magazine.

According to an additional report from Us Weekly, the actress showed off her very pregnant belly in a Halloween photo she posted on her Twitter account, captioning it with, "Happy Halloweeeeen!!!!"

In the picture, Panettiere is wearing a cheetah-inspired bikini costume with a jungle cat make-up on her face.

Wedding bells soon?

When asked by Hello! Magazine about her wedding plans with Klitschko, the "Nashville" actress said that she has no plans to get married right away.

"I'll tell you one thing for sure: I am not walking down the aisle 40 pounds heavier than usual in a wedding dress with a huge pregnancy belly stitched in," she told Hello! Magazine. "Not happening."

A report from E! Online published on MSN added that Panettiere receives support from her family and her fiancé during her pregnancy, and she only has praises for Klitschko.

"He's such a resilient guy. He's so calm and patient. I have never even heard this man raise a voice," she said, as quoted by E! Online.
