Taylor Swift is leaving New York City behind to hit the road for her upcoming "1989 World Tour." Is she coming to a city near you? Find out below.

A week after the successful release of her newest album "1989," the country singer turned pop superstar announced her world concert tour dates via her website, as reported by U-T San Diego.

The tour will kick off on May 20, 2015, in Louisiana and will end on October 31, 2015, in Tampa, Florida. Aside from performing in U.S. cities, Swift will also visit Germany, Scotland, the U.K., and the Netherlands starting in June 2015, according to an additional report from Us Weekly.

Swift will then return to North America in July to perform in Canada and at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, among others, Us Weekly noted. U-T San Diego also added that the singer's tour will include Petco Park in San Diego, California on August 29. It will be her first stadium concert in the city.

U-T San Diego clarified that ticket prices for Swift's concerts haven't been announced yet. However, the singer stated on her website that starting on Friday, there will be a pre-sale for American Express card holders and members of her fan club. Meanwhile, tickets for the first leg of Swift's concert tour will go on sale on November 14, U-T San Diego noted.

Record-breaking '1989'

Us Weekly wrote more about the success that "1989" has been savoring so far, also revealing new details about Swift's upcoming tour.

First, "1989" is the highest performing music album since 2002. The record is also the first album of this year to sell more than a million copies in its first week.

Second, the "1989 World Tour" will begin less than a year after Swift's last international concert "The Red Tour," which concluded on June 12, 2014.

Third, Swift recruited Australian singer Vance Joy to be the opening act for her North America tour dates. Swift recently made a cover of Joy's song "Riptide." Shawn Mendes is also expected to perform for selected dates.
