The Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings are reportedly exploring a possible trade to jumpstart the teams after their slow start this season, reliable league sources disclosed on Thursday.
With their season looking subpar, the Cavs are ready to move several pieces on the roster in exchange for added depth. On the other hand, the Kings are also open to trading some of their players for veteran help or draft picks.
"Cleveland and Sacramento have been working the phones and exploring possible trades, per source. Both teams are open to making a move after slow start," NBA insider Alex Kennedy posted on his Twitter page.

Cavs Looking For Help
The Cavaliers were expected to be a Top 5 team this season after a solid free agency haul last summer. However, only Andrew Bynum showed promise by putting up significant contributions despite limited playing time. Jarret Jack and Earl Clark have been disappointing so far, making them susceptible to trades.
However, Fansided reporter Vytis Lasaitis believed the Cavs are more inclined to trade center/forward Anderson Varejao. The 31-year old Varejao is the only remaining remnant of the LeBron James era and has long been speculated to be a trade chip these past two seasons.
Third-year forward Tristan Thompson is another name that could be dealt at any point this season. Thompson's trade value increased dramatically this year, thanks to his statistical improvement. Thompson averaged 12.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game for the Cavs.
"As far as the Cavs go, there were some rumors this summer that the team could potentially move Tristan Thompson. Anderson Varejao is another player that has a very movable contract, but his market value is way down compared to last year," the report stated.
Kings To Shell Out Expiring Contracts
With DeMarcus Cousins and Ben McLemore deemed untouchable, the Kings might deal some of their players with expiring contracts, and little dynamo Isaiah Thomas certainly topped the list.
Thomas, who is putting up 18.1 points and 4.7 assist per game this season, could be a valuable trade chip for the Kings, who desire another potential first-round pick for the loaded 2014 NBA Draft.
"Isaiah Thomas could be an interesting name, as his market value is very high right now and he is on an expiring deal. Moving Thomas instead of being forced to sign him to a long-term contract or let him go for free could be a possibility," Lasaitis adeed.
For now, the Cavs-Kings trade scenario remains pure speculation as Fox Sports NBA insider Sam Amico stated that the rumor has "nothing of substance at this time."
