It has long been rumored that Charlie Sheen could comeback on "Two and a Half Men." Now the actor addresses the rumors once and for all, and even discusses his very public and scandalous exit from the show.
When asked by Extra about whether he's considering returning for the show's series finale, Sheen said, "I would definitely do it, yeah, yeah. If they'll still have me, I will be there. Yeah, I owe it some measure of closure. I owe it to the fans... I just think it makes sense."
The actor even has a plan for the ending of "Two and a Half Men," but he is mum about it.
"I have a brilliant idea, but don't want to give it away. It's the type of moment I think people would talk about for a long time and it wouldn't get in anybody's way. Think it would be a nice tip of the hat... they know I want to do it and I know they're open to it, so, guess we're just a meeting away from making it happen." Sheen told Extra.
Extra also asked about his dramatic exit from the show, and the actor replied, "Never leave a hit show unless you're fired, right? Was that out loud?"
According to a report from Time, Sheen was publicly fired from the hit comedy show three years ago. TV executives cited the reasons to be "dangerously self-destructive conduct, difficulty at work and inflammatory comments to producers," as quoted from Reuters.
In an 11-page document, lawyers of Warner Bros. said that Sheen was endangering his life because of alcohol and drug abuse, Reuters noted.
Sheen was the highest-paid actor in US television during his tenure on "Two and a Half Men," Reuters further reported. During TV and radio interviews he did after being fired from the show, the actor boasted that he was winning and that he had tiger blood.
Reuters also added that the actor called the show's producer and co-creator Chuck Lorre a "clown" and a "stupid, stupid little man."
"It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshisc*ck again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension," Sheen said in a statement published on Reuters.
Since then, Sheen moved to the FX network and is currently starring on his own comedy show titled "Anger Management," while actor Ashton Kutcher replaced him on "Two and a Half Men," Time further reported.
When Extra asked about his dream guest star to appear on "Anger Management," Sheen said, "I would love to have Jack Nicholson appear on our 100th episode because he did the movie. That's the reason we're all here."
