Florida - who finished the season the top ranked team in the country, Wichita State University - going into the men's 2014 NCAA Final Four tournament undefeated, Arizona - who was upset in the Pac-12 title game by UCLA, and Virginia - who defeated the Duke Blue Devils to win the ACC championship, were named the top seeds in this year's "Big Dance" while the defending champion Louisville Cardinals draws a four seed in the Midwest bracket despite winning the inaugural America Athletic Conference (AAC). American conference's Southern Methodist University and head coach Larry Brown were snubbed by the tournament despite their resurgence on the college basketball scene.
