A Malaysian Airlines flight on its way from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in Eastern Ukraine on Thursday. All of the 295 passengers and crew are presumed dead. The crash occurred amidst a war-torn part of Ukraine in which pro-Russian separatist forces (backed by Russia) are at odds with the Western-backed Ukrainian loyalist forces.
