Major League Soccer (MLS) has announced that the Orlando City Soccer Lions of the USL-Pro League will be elevated to an MLS expansion team starting 2015. MLS, who has had past failures in the state of Florida, is banking on Orlando and David Beckham's South Beach project - which has piqued the interest of Miami Heat star LeBron James as a potential investor - to bring back soccer to the Southeast.
