David Beckham met with Florida governor Rick Scott looking to garner support for a new stadium in Miami's waterfront for his new Major League Soccer (MLS) team. Beckham and his investors, Simon Fuller and Brightstar Corporation CEO Marcelo Claure, are hoping to gain the same tax benefits that Major League Baseball (MLB), National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), and National Hockey League (NHL) have received in the past.
