Despite struggles on the pitch and the possibility of missing out on the 2014-2015 Champions League campaign, Manchester United signed a record $1 billion deal for Nike to continue making their kits for the next ten years - surpassing Spain's Real Madrid's 2012 jersey partnership with adidas.
