'NBA 2K15' Gameplay vs 'NBA Live 15' Plus Trailer, Review & Price Comparison
With the upcoming release of "NBA Live 15" and "NBA 2K15", people can't help but compare the two releases and how they fare with each other in terms of gameplay.
"NBA 2K15" promises a somehow "real" feel into the game with its visual almost near the actual basketball game and its players. PC Gamer even said that the game's visuals are "genuinely stunning."
"[It has] picture perfect character models, world-class stadium lighting and best-in class animation," it added.
PC Gamer noted a few more features of the game. Here they are:
1. The game promises new animations with greater bounce passes and smoothness of ball handling. Though there are parts of the game where moving the ball can seem a bit awkward, this little issue could not really be noticed especially with the great gameplay of "NBA 2K15."
2. The volume of content of the game is "overwhelming" since a player can start from a simple player to a fully loaded one as the game progresses. It noted that one is able to maximize his potential in the game with his performance on the team which is rewarded with money.
"NBA 2K15 is completely intertwined with the real sport. The presentation is so good there are even promo vignettes before matches, and they're different every time," PC Gamer noted.
3. Aside from these features, half-time interviews during the game make the NBA2K15 more realistic especially with a commentary. PC Gamer concluded that the game is "the best sports series on earth, by a distance." The game is available for a price of $59.99.
On the other hand, NBA Live 15 seems like a correction and avoidance of the past mistakes of game developers. Connect Statesboro said in a review that the new game also promises "much more realistic player models."
The same report observed that the players did not look like "plastic men" anymore, running around the court.
"Texture details are clear and the skin actually looks like skin now. Also, animations have been completely refashioned and its evident. EA Sports says that over 600 layups and dunks were motion-captured and redone to blend together for a much favorable experience," Connect Statesboro noted.
In terms of controls, Connect Statesboro found that this new installment have "a lot more responsive" control keys and comparing it to the NBA2K15, a player can make better fast breaks with this game. Presentation and additional commentaries were also nice additions to the game.
But the biggest plus for NBA Live 15 is its consistent online connectivity since there are only a few players of this game compared to the 2K15, Connect Statesboro added. NBA Live 15 may not be able to really reach the level of the 2K15 but it's evolving into a decent and playable game that still has a lot of room for improvement. It is also available at $59.99.
