World Series Kansas City Royals vs San Francisco Giants: Game 2 Live Stream, Preview & Predictions
The Game 2 between the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday is expected to be a competitive one as the Royals are looking to tie the series with their series opponent.
Rant Sports said that the first game was a disappointment on the part of the Royals which the report said did "poorly as possible." The Giants won in a 0-3 victory with its main man Madison Bumgarner.
But for this upcoming game, the Royals might just have the chance to make more points since their opposing team will be starting with a pitcher Jake Peavy who will be facing 23-year-old rookie Yordano Ventura.
Ventura has been a solid performer in his past games with the Royals especially with his aces. But there are some reports that doubt if Ventura's gameplay would be enough especially that the Giants are expected to come really prepared for the game.
But despite this, Rant Sports predicted that the Royals, this time, will outshine the Giants and even the series at 1-1.
The same result was forecasted by Bleacher Report which said that Buster Posey will make drives that will shake Ventura's strategy coupled with Jeremy Affeldt expected effort to "kill an eighth-inning rally with a double play."
"When the series shifts to San Francisco, it will be all tied up," Bleacher Report added.
In a similar report, Sports Chat Place said that the Giants have an edge in the games especially with Bumgarner doing his best for the team. It added that the offensive tactics of the team is "impressive."
As for the Royals, the same report explained that they "hit a roadblock" during game 1 and noted that they should improve on their scoring if they want to tie the game.
"The Royals mustered just four hits with a base on balls with Salvador Perez the only source of scoring with a 7th inning homer. Rookie Yordano Ventura looks to even the series with the San Francisco Giants when he takes the ball in game two," Sports Chat Place added.
The game will take place at the Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City at 8:07 p.m. Livestream of the game is available at MLB.com. A large number of crowd is expected to show their support for both teams and witness whether the Royals will indeed tie the game or if the Giants bag their second win in the playoffs.
After Wednesday's game, the two teams will meet for the third time at the AT&T Park with Jason Vargas and Tim Hudson on the pitching matchup. It will be quite an interesting series for the two teams especially that they are both coming prepared more than ever to face each other.
