Renee Zellweger Plastic Surgery 2014: Shocking Before & After Photos
Renee Zellweger turned heads on the red carpet at ELLE's 21st annual Women In Hollywood Awards when she displayed a totally different look -- much to the astonishment of the public.
The 45-year old actress, whose fame skyrocketed because of her role in "Bridget Jones' Diary", looks drastically unrecognizable as she graced the event at the Four Seasons Hotel in California on Monday.
Gone are Zellweger's squinty eyes, puffy cheeks, and kewpie mouth. According to an article from Daily Mail, the actress appeared "almost unrecognisable with her super line-free forehead, altered brow and suspiciously puffy face, although she has never admitted to getting surgery."
Mirror reported that the actress underwent several cosmetic surgery procedures to achieve her new look. According to Mirror's source, a Longevita surgeon named Dr. Fuat Yuksel:
"Renee has undergone some facial procedures to contour the shape of her face including, fillers around her nasolabial folds and cheeks to give her face a fuller appearance, plus botox around the brow area to tighten her skin and make it appear more youthful."
The surgeon also claims that the actress had some skin and/or fat removed around her eyes which opened them up more. "The most significant procedure appears to be a blepharoplasty (eye bag removal and lid reduction) which has opened up her eyes and face dramatically," Yuksel added, according to the Mirror report.
Another doctor named Yannis Alexandrides, cited in the Daily Mail report, revealed that the actress may have used Thermage treatment to make her face wrinkle free and smooth.
"The procedure uses radio frequency to tighten elastin fibres and stimulate collagen and gradually improves the quality of the skin and tissue over a period of six months - it's a popular option for patients who are interested in a face lift but aren't ready for surgery," Alexandrides, who has never treated Zellweger, added on the Daily Mail report.
The actress has been known for several movies. 10 years ago, she won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "Cold Mountain," reported Washington Post. Her last major film was the horror movie "Case 39," which debuted in theaters 5 years ago.
