Ricardo Arjona USA Tour 2015 Tickets & Dates - News Updates
Ricardo Arjona is bringing his music to his fans in the United States next year, reports Billboard.
"After selling more than 500,000 tickets in South America alone as part of his Viaje (Voyage) tour, singer/songwriter Ricardo Arjona will kick off his U.S. dates Feb. 27 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami," according to Billboard.
Arjona's tour is shaping up to be one of the biggest Latin tours in 2015. The tour will hit 13 markets, and it includes performances at cities he didn't played at last time he was on tour, like Hidalgo and El Paso, Texas.
His 2012-2013 tour, which had 14 concert dates, have been successful and grossed $13.5 million in ticket sales.
According to the Billboard report, Arjona has invested greatly in his concert tour and promotion, and his live shows is nothing short of complex and profitable.
"The Viaje show features a train station set that's more 60 feet tall, with over 200 robotic lights and more than 40 tons of equipment onstage. While the scale is seen with major mainstream acts, it certainly isn't common for a Latin act on the road. But it's been giving steady dividends," said Billboard.
His "Viaje" album, which the tour has been named after, has successfully debuted at No. 1 and ranks ninth in this year's top-selling Latin albums, Billboard added. Furthermore, the album was nominated for the Best Singer/Songwriter category for a Latin Grammy.
Arjona, aged 50, started his music career back in the 1980's, but it wasn't until the 1990's when he finally had his international breakthrough.
Tickets for Arjona's tour will go on sale on Friday.
