GTA 5 PS4 Release Date News; Online 1.17, 1.18 Patch Update
GTA online has had issues lately, and Rockstar will reportedly address those in a new update due out any day now and appears to be quite significant. A server update was reportedly also made sometime earlier this week, another indication that the update could come at anytime, though, realistically it might not arrive until November of this year.
Rockstar hasn't not put out a monthly DLC since January of this year. That's a long time. Rockstar is typically dependable when it comes to taking care of its users in a timely manner. Some feel the delay in update is due to game modders that are finding and using game glitches to give them in-game cash. It is thought that Rockstar is hard at work patching these bugs. But a wrinkle in this particular problem is that modders are able to create glitches on their own, potentially threatening the online game for everyone who plays it.
GTA fans are understandably becoming restless over the lack of update, especially since there's been no official word from Rockstar on the issue aside from stating on Twitter that they have nothing to state at this time. Nice.
All of this comes a little more than the November 18th release date of Grand Theft Auto V for PS4 and Xbox One. Rockstar boasts the game will have all new weapons, vehicles and missions and activities. Users can also expect more wildlife in the game as well as more traffic, more advanced foliage and better damage and weather effects.
More radio stations will also be included in the new version, including 100 new songs and new DJ mixes on 17 radio stations.
Those who pre-order the game will receive $1,000,000 of in-game money that they can use online and in the game ($500K for each account). Online play has been boosted to up to 30 users at one time on PS4 and Xbox One.
Players with existing Grand Theft Auto Online accounts will have the option of transferring their characters and game status either the PS4, Xbox One or PC version after they are released.
