'Star Wars: Episode 7' Release Date, Cast & Trailer: New Photo Leak Shows Millennium Falcon & Re-Painted X-Wings
The latest photo leaks of the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode 7" movie were published on a Spanish newspaper--showing that the infamous X-Wing plane got an interesting paint job.
For those not aware of the movie's huge plane prop, the X-Wing is the fighter jet driven by Luke Skywalker in the previous installments of the franchise. 20 Minutos, the newspaper which revealed the first look of the new plane shows the ride in darker shades of silver, orange and black, reported IBTimes.
The Superhero Report Twitter account also posted a snapshot of the Millenium Falcon, the one which director J.J. Abrams was seen with in a recent YouTube video (found below).
The YouTube video revealing the Millenium Falcon was posted by the director's very own Bad Robot Productions team. The freshly uploaded video of the channel features a friendly competition between Abrams and another film director, Zack Snyder, who is behind another highly-anticipated superhero movie, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."
The clip shows the Falcon ship's underside--apparently keeping the latest Batmobile of the Dark Knight. "The Dark Knight" trilogy score can also be heard playing in the background, fused with Luke Skywalker's theme.
Going back to the leaked photo, the new paint job of the X-Wing is rumored to be hinting that John Boyega could be its new pilot. The plane's new color array matches Boyega's reported Stormtrooper costume design.
Business Insider added that the "Star Wars: Episode 7" plot is speculated to work around the character of Boyega along with that of Daisy Ridley's. Rumors have it that the story will circle around the two discovering Luke Skywalker's lightsaber. This then sets them on a voyage to return the classic weapon to its original owner.
On the other hand, another cast member of the sci-fi franchise, Oscar Isaac, shared the fun times spent with the rest of the actors on board. The Guatemalan-American actor told Entertainment Weekly how hilarious Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are, both on or off screen.
Isaac's role remains to be announced but according to sources, the rumored character he will be portraying is connected to Harrison Ford in the movie. New reports speculate that he could be playing Han Solo's descendant, more interestingly his son. Nothing has been confirmed yet about this news at the moment.
The upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII" movie has its release date set on December 18, 2015. It will also star Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, Max von Sydow and Lupita Nyong'o among others.
No official trailer has been made public yet by the production.
