'Hannibal' Season 1 Episode 11 Spoilers: Hannibal Helps a Serial Killer and Misleads the BAU Again in 'Rôti' [Video]
With only three episodes left in the first season of NBC's chilling drama 'Hannibal,' fans are dying to know what Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) will do next and how Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) will deal with everything that is thrown at him.
In the season's upcoming episode, entitled "Rôti," Will's life will be put in danger again thanks to Hannibal. NBC teases, "When Dr. Gideon (Eddie Izzard) escapes from police custody, he seeks to kill psychiatrists who have profiled him. Will and the BAU team try to track him down by following Freddie Lounds' (Lara Jean Chorostecki) blog before Gideon can get to Alana (Caroline Dhavernas)."
Of course Gideon will get some unexpected help Dr. Hannibal himself. NBC continues, "Hannibal misleads the BAU team in order to put Will in the same room as Gideon, and Jack (Laurence Fishburne) questions Dr. Chilton (Raul Esparaza) regarding Gideon's escape."
Fans will remember both Dr. Gideon and Dr. Chilton from an earlier episode in the season, entitled "Entrée." During the episode, fans learned that Chilton and Jack had worked together in search of The Chesapeake Ripper. However, after months of laying low, it appeared that the Ripper had shown up-right in Chilton's hospital for mentally insane prisoners. Now, Gideon has escaped and is on a revenge spree to get all the psychiatrists who once profiled him.
Hettienne Park's Beverly Katz, Aaron Abrams' Brian Zeller and Scott Thompson's Jimmy Price will also appear in "Rôti."
In related news, NBC renewed the series for a second season on Friday. The second season, which will air no earlier than mid-season next fall, was given 13 episodes. In a statement released by NBC, President Jennifer Salke said, "We're so proud of Bryan [Fuller]'s vision for a show that is richly textured, psychologically complex, and very compelling. There are many great stories still to be told."
'Hannibal' airs on Thursday, June 6 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
