‘Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Release Date, Cast & Trailer: Kendall Jenner Wanted for Sequel?
Reality star Kendall Jenner is rumored to be considered for a role in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel.
Grazia Magazine via Mail Online, reported that the 18-year-old aspiring model is being eyed by director Sam Taylor-Johnson for the series' second installment titled, "Fifty Shades Darker."
Sources indicate that the director, 47, is a fan of Jenner's reality series with her famed family, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and says she was already considered for the first installment but didn't materialize.
"Universal is also keen for Kendall to be involved in the sequel. They put in a call to her people and arranged a meeting last month, which went really well," revealed the insider.
The source continued, "It wouldn't be a major role but would certainly be a foot in the door of Hollywood. Apparently, she'll only sign on once Sam Taylor-Wood is confirmed as the director."
If these reports are on the right track, there's a great chance Jenner will capitalize on the opportunity as she's already expressed an interest in acting, she revealed during her cover feature for the March 2014 issue of Marie Claire Mexico.
"Acting is something I would regret not giving a chance when I'm older, so I would love to try it and see if I like it," said the runway model to the publication.
"I used to do plays in school and then in my community. I would participate in all of them ‘til I was 13," recalled the step sister of Kim Kardashian.
Kendall is reported to be looking for a way to expand her fame and public image past her family's reality series.
According to an earlier report by HollywoodLife.com's source, "she just wants some independence from her family. Everyone in the business refers to her on a first-name basis, anyway."
They explained that the younger Kardashian-Jenner family member wants to make a name for herself, which is the reason behind the recent dropping of her family name.
The first film based on the erotic trilogy of British author E.L. James hits theaters Valentines of 2015. It stars Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele and co-stars Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, the BDSM-loving business magnate. Other stars to be featured in the film include Rita Ora as Mia Grey, Eloise Mumford playing the role of Kate Kavanagh and Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey.
As for Kendall, the "Fifty Shades Darker" character she could play has not yet been revealed. To see what's in store for the young celebrity, see the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer below.
