Carrie Underwood Pregnant; Posts Adorable Photo Announcement
"American Idol" season four winner, Carrie Underwood, announces her pregnancy in one of the cutest ways possible.
It was confirmed by the singer's representative that she will soon be a first time mom as she expects her first child with hubby, Mike Fisher.
According to E! Online, she revealed the big news by posting a picture of her carrying their pet dogs, Ace & Penny, wearing shirts that say "I'm going to be a BIG BROTHER" and "I'm going to be a BIG SISTER."
The 31-year-old singer first discussed her views about becoming a mother when she was interviewed by Marie Claire magazine. Back then, the American country music singer emphasized that she does not feel responsible enough to handle kids but she's thankful for having a supportive husband by her side.
Carrie's husband, NHL player Mike Fisher, plays as center for the Nashville Predators. However, he may miss playing on the start of the coming new season due to an injury involving a rupture in his left Achilles tendon, according to the Associate Press, in a report on Huffington Post.
The couple met during one of the country singer's concerts back in 2008, recalled The Examiner. They were engaged in December 2009 and they tied the knot on July 10, 2010, at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Georgia.
The "Blown Away" singer first had her shot to fame when she was declared the winner of the fourth season of the popular reality singing show "American Idol." She has already took home a total of six Grammys and has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide, Underwood's official website noted.
She's the first female artist to win the Entertainer of the Year award twice at the Academy of Country Music, her bio also showed.
In a report from USA Today, Underwood, along with Brad Paisley, are set to return as the hosts of the highly anticipated Country Music Association Awards this coming November.
Meanwhile, with Fisher's comeback to the playing field set at 4 to 6 months, he could certainly have enough time to help prepare their home for their coming first child.
