Britney Spears Las Vegas 'Piece of Me' Show: 'My Boyfriend Cheated on Me,' Says Singer
Britney Spears bravely addressed her recent split with David Lucado during her residency show held in Las Vegas.
It was one rare moment for the 32-year-old singer to acknowledge in front of a huge crowd that her boyfriend actually cheated on her.
"Thousands of lusty boos (the encouraging kind, if that's possible) rained down from the 5,000 attendees at Planet Hollywood's Axis Theater. Britney's fans were eager to show her they had her back over Lucado's alleged infidelity," MTV noted.
"The best part of breaking up," according to Britney, "is going on first dates," and her words elicited cheers from the audience as everyone sensed that the recording artist is in for some audience participation.
According to Billboard, the lucky audience member turned out to be the popular entertainment blogger Perez Hilton. The dancers guided him on stage and even placed him in some kind of a leash while Spears' song called "Freakshow" started playing.
Hilton immediately shared the momentous experience over Twitter after going back to his front seat in the theater. He was spotted seated next to the artist's family in the VIP audience section.
Apart from her addressing her recent split and giving Hilton a moment to remember, there was no other odd scenario that happened during the night. She did not mention her family being in the theater. She just went through her usual performance and made her way through more than 20 songs, the fan favorites during the span of her career.
Since the time that Spears reportedly learned of the alleged infidelity of Lucado, she has been assuring her followers that she is coping positively and welcoming with open arms the life of being single again.
A source shared with People Magazine that Britney discovered a clip which shows Lucado getting intimate with another woman. The insider added that it was the only ultimatum that the singer needed to decide on kicking out Lucado out of her life.
Spears' Sunday night show in Las Vegas was a sold out performance. The following night, she took her two sons to watch the LA County Fair performance of her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. She tweeted a photo of them while they were at her younger sibling's show.
