'Avengers 3' Release Date, Cast & Plot: 5 Possible Characters to Appear in Film
One of the great things about comics is the fluidity and inter-connectivity of characters, which is true for Marvel's "The Avengers."
Marvel Studios Kevin Feige has said before that the team making up the Avengers is always changing. SlashFilm recalled earlier comments from Feige that core members of the team could change.
"Just because Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow are the team at the end of The Avengers and beginning of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron', that doesn't mean they'll always be the only team members," teased the Marvel official.
ALERT! Possible spoilers below!
A report coming from Badass Digest reveals that the end of the Avengers sequel may see Captain America assembling a new team of heroes.
"At the end of Age of Ultron Cap will assemble a team that is a mix of familiar and new faces, leading forward into Phase Three," wrote the site. This is particularly interesting for the studio because it doesn't only offer a world of possibilities but also a changing storyline that could involve more than the guys who were in the first film.
Below are five new characters we may catch in the new installment and possibly lead into "Avengers 3."
Captain Marvel - Badass Digest reveals that between scripts, there have been changes, and while the site doesn't want to name drop all the newbies, "one character who has always been in this new team is Captain Marvel." However, Marvel Studios is reportedly having second thoughts on this as putting her in a team movie off the bat may not be the right move.
Quick Silver and Scarlet Witch - It's not a secret that these two will appear in "Age of Ultron." They've already been announced to be played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, respectively.
Doctor Strange - This is one character that has been making news online. Joaquin Phoenix is believed to be in the final stages of talks for the role which could also mean he'll be lined up in time for the film.
The Falcon - The Falcon is included in "Avengers Assemble" which according to Movie Plot, runs parallel to the Marvel films. When asked how he's preparing for both "Avengers 2" and "Captain America," actor Anthony Mackie didn't directly replied but stated he's been working out regularly instead.
All these characters have great potential but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Catch Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) as they reprise their roles in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" which opens in theaters next summer, May 1st, 2015.
