‘Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Release Date, Cast & Trailer: Jamie Dornan Joins Instagram; Posts Adorable First Pic
If you're a Jamie Dornan fan, you've got reason to celebrate. On Monday, the hunky "Fifty Shades of Grey" star has finally joined the photo sharing site, Instagram, and he has just posted his first pic!
The first-ever post of the 32-year-old actor is a selfie. In the photo, the actor looks directly at the camera and holds up a sign that says, "I AM SPARTACUS." Of course, he put a strikethrough on "SPARTACUS" and put "JAMIE DORNAN" instead.
The Brit actor's career has skyrocketed after being cast as the S&M-loving billionaire Christian Grey. Playing opposite Dakota Johnson's Anastasia Steele, the first film of E.L. James' trilogy is due out a day before Valentines 2015.
With the film being sexually charged, a large population of the audience are interested to see how the erotic scenes will be translated into film. But people behind the movie believe they'll do the book justice and keep it classy.
According to E! Online, actress Eloise Mumford, who plays Anastasia Steel's roommate, believes director Sam Taylor-Johnson did a great job.
"She's such a great director," said Mumford and added, "I knew right away it would be tasteful and artistic. And the cinematographer is Seamus McGarvey. He did Anna Karenina. It's going to be beautiful."
She concludes, "In the end, the story really is a romance and a love story so it's about that more than anything."
That's not all, Kelly Marcel, screenwriter for the flick, also applauds the work that Dornan does with the film. Speaking to Reza Aslan per US Magazine, the writer noted the great acting skills of Dornan.
"I had to actually describe everything," she said on the experience of penning the script. "It was really embarrassing when you're doing the studio notes around the table with 12 people," she explains. She recalls a particular scene where the line, "You're my popsicle" from the book was done. "It's genius, they apparently did that scene great," she said.
"Apparently Jamie is great at being soft and hard at the same time, which is hard to do for an actor. He's going to get an Oscar!" she said in jest.
Jamie's take on the outcome of the film doesn't vary from what his colleagues have said. Dornan told Today via Enstarz, "It's going to be sexual and everything, but it's not going to be something that's going to be hard to watch."
