Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date, Specs & Features: Device Clone Goophone N4 Launched
A clone of the device has debuted with only a few more weeks until the Samsung phablet's alleged release date.
Giz China reported that Goophone, a long-time gadget-maker which has "accurately" cloned the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy 5 among others, has rolled out its own version of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
The Note 4 clone, dubbed the Goophone N4, is reportedly available for pre-order on Chinese gadget retail site Vifocal. A quick trip to the online shopping website reveals that the Goophone N4 won't be available for pre-order until September 15.
According to the specs and features listed on the website, the Note 4 clone comes in either black or white with shell leather back cover. Under the hood is a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 CPU with 3GB of RAM. The Goophone N4 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
The clone sports a 5.7-inch IPS capacitive touch screen in Full HD at 1920 x 1080 pixels. Camera-wise, it has a 13MP rear shooter with flash light and auto focus and a 5MP up front. The back camera is capable of capturing images with "up to 4096×3072 pixels resolution" and "support 720P video recording," Vifocal listed on the site.
Fone Arena noted that the Goophone N4's specs and features are "easily beaten in performance by the yesteryear Galaxy Note 2." This means that although still something to be raved about, it is likely to lose a stand-off with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
As previously reported, the rumored specs of Samsung's next-generation phablet includes a powerful processor - either Snapdragon 801 or Samsung's very own Exynos 6 and 5.7-inch screen Quad HD 2560×1440 AMOLED display or the recently rumored three-sided Youm display.
The Note 4 is also alleged to come with a 16MP rear camera with ISOCELL technology and a 3.7MP front camera. As for features, it is said to include fingerprint technology just like that of rival Apple's iPhone 5s and is rumored to take after the Samsung Galaxy S5 in terms of dust and water resistance.
Samsung has not confirmed any release date for the next-generation phablet but the South Korean tech giant has let out invitations for part two of its 2014 Unpacked event. The event will be held on September 3 in three locations - Beijing, New York and Berlin simultaneously.
"Ready? Note the date!" reads the Samsung invite.
