Due to the almost similar sounds of the names, false news that Robbie Williams is dead trended online, according to Independent UK.
Even his pop group "Take That" also went trending due to the mistaken news.
Despite various reports online clearly stating that the veteran actor Robin Williams died due to suspected suicide, some still got confused - even sending out their condolences to other members of Robbie's group.
There were tweets that appeared naïve about the truth while there were others who were obviously trolling, stated Mirror.
