'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' Release Date, Cast & Trailer: New Teaser Photo of Ben Affleck in Bat Cowl Revealed
We can always count on "Batman v Superman" director, Zack Snyder, to give us sneak peeks into the world of "Dawn of Justice." As Batman celebrates its 75th anniversary this month, Snyder shares a cool new photo of Ben Affleck as Batman to mark the new version of the masked hero.
The famed director shared a new portrait photo of Ben Affleck as Batman over Twitter and the side shot features Affleck donning the Bat Cowl, looking somber against a dark background.

All Snyder said of the brooding, black and white still is: "#75."
Batman's mood in this photo is similar to Snyder's earlier teaser picture wherein Affleck is decked out in his Bat Suit with the high-tech Batmobile in the background. In both photos, Batman looks somber with his head bent downwards, which could indicate a very conflicted or dark plot.
Batman's cape and cowl, along with other memorabilia from films, TV comics and more are on display at San Diego Comic-Con. According to ScreenRant.com: "One way in which Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are celebrating the event is by putting Batman costumes, capes, and cowls on display at the Con, including the cowl and cape from the upcoming 'Batman v Superman'."
The 41-year-old dad is excited to bring his own personality into the iconic superhero and People quoted Affleck talking to host Jimmy Fallon: "Every kid should see their dad as a superhero," he said. "It's so awesome and I'm so excited."
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2016 and will see the "Argo" actor play opposite Henry Cavill's Superman. The film is a follow up to 2013's "Man of Steel." Other stars that will light up the screen include "Fast and The Furious" actress, Gal Gadot, as Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg, who has been cast to play Lex Luthor.
The movie will act as the springboard for the planned "Justice League" movie in 2017, which Snyder has also signed on to direct.
Apparently these two films will not be the only Batman film Affleck will be featured on. Reports indicate that Affleck could star in a Batman feature film set for 2019. Daily Mail UK wrote that per Latino Review, "the film is speculatively called 'The Batman' and is being planned for four years' time because of Ben's busy schedule."
