Sofia Vergara News 2014: Hot New Relationship After Emmy Snub
It looks like Modern Family bombshell Sofia Vergara has a new man in her life, and it doesn't get much more gorgeous than these two. It is, after all, Joe Manganiello.
Don't recognize the name? Well, you should. He was one hot stud on the stripper biopic Magic Mike, and he's also a True Blood stud, so there's no reason not to learn his name. We have a feeling you'll be hearing it a lot in the days to come.
Multiple sightings of Modern Family starlet and her True Blood beau surfaced over the weekend, and photos of the couple looking extra cozy at a Lady Gaga concert took over social media.
And while rumors are fine and good, it seems that the two may have finally confirmed their newfound status after they stepped out together in front of photographers in Los Angeles over the weekend. Oh, and they were looking very much like a couple -- Joe had his arm slung around a Sofia, and her grin said quite a bit back.
Even her costars are reported to be happy for the hot mama; they've weighed in on Twitter, cracking jokes about the new couple after reports of their pairing surfaced.
This is the first time that Vergara has been publicly linked to anyone since announcing the end of her two-year engagement to Nick Loeb in May. The couple first broke up in 2012 after two years of dating, but were engaged months later.
The actress revealed the split on her WhoSay account on May 23.
“Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtfull drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have desided to be apart,” Sofia wrote. “We have been having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together and becouse of my work and now his, its been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore. We are still very close but we belive is the best thing for us right now.”
Sofia was previously married to Joe Gonzalez from 1991 to 1993, and they share a 21-year-old son, Manolo.
So far, 2014 hasn't been the easiest year for Vergara, so perhaps the new love is coming about at the right time. The “Modern Family” actress was snubbed during the 2014 Emmy nods, and did not secure a nomination for what what would have been her fifth consecutive year.
Vergara had been nominated for an Emmy for best supporting actress in a comedy series for four years straight for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, but this time the Colombian bombshell wasn't even nominated.
