Naya Rivera Secretly Married But Not to Big Sean
"Glee" star, Naya Rivera, has tied the knot with actor, Ryan Dorsey, a mere three months after her engagement to rapper, Big Sean, was called off back in April. The 27-year-old actress wed her long-time friend on July 19 in Mexico.
"We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife," said the pair exclusively to People magazine. "Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for."
Coincidentally, Naya was supposed to marry Big Sean on July 19. Why did the couple choose to get hitched on that day?
There's a more significant reason on why the couple picked the date, "The date isn't just her original wedding day with Big Sean," said a source quoted by US Magazine. "July 19th is also Ryan's birthday, making this an even more joyous occasion."
Naya dazzled in a "Monique Lhuillier gown while Ryan wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit. She carried a bouquet of daisies and baby's breath and the couple exchanged Neil Lane rings," reported People.
Naya was made up by hair stylist, Clyde Haygood, who also assisted reality star, Kim Kardashian on her wedding day in May this year. A source commented that Rivera's look was similar to that of Kim's, which isn't a bad thing because Kim looked spectacular.
With this news that Gleeks everywhere probably didn't see coming, many are now asking -- who is the lucky guy?
According to E! Online, the newlyweds met four years ago and became friends. They got closer after Naya's engagement to Big Sean fell apart. Ryan, also an actor, has appeared in a number of TV series and shows, including "Parks and Recreation" and "Southland," and is set to make his film debut alongside Mel Gibson and William H. Macy in "Blood Father."
The pair are reportedly back in L.A. and are starting their life together. Rivera is slated to return to "Glee" for its sixth and final season but reports indicate that she won't be a series regular.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
