WWE Monday Night Raw Live Stream, Schedule & Spoilers: Flo Rida Fighting Against Pros?
Monday Night Raw will make the lifelong WWE fan in Flo Rida jump for joy next week as it returns to Miami, Florida. And why not? The rapper has been chosen as a "guest star" for his first appearance on Raw.
Flo Rida admitted to For The Win that he's been a WWE fan for years, growing up witnessing the maneuverings of stars like Hulk Hogan and The Road Warriors. That makes the show no ordinary gig for the Florida native, Radar Online adds.
"I've been watching WWE since I was a kid," he told the news outlet. "Since back then it's been something that I've always loved, and to be able to perform and meet Vince McMahon and see how humble and cool everyone was... it's almost like family."
Flo Rida performed at a sold-out Sun Life Stadium during WrestleMania 28 prior to The Rock's match versus John Cena. The report adds that he cherished that moment in front of about 78,000 people "like a dream come true," adding that "it was like I was walking in a dream."
Comedian Kevin Hart is Raw's last guest star, dancing on the ring with Adam Rose. A For The Win report on the guesting shows him putting Triple H in a headlock backstage. Meanwhile, Flo Rida will perform hit songs at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
WWE chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon told For The Win that she suspects Flo Rida has something else in store for Monday. "Anything can happen in the world of WWE," she told the report. Radar Online hopes that "anything" in the rapper's case would include him joining the wrestlers on the ring, adding that his size makes him a worthy contender.
But does he plan to surprise the crowd by fighting the pros? No, if what he said in the report is to be believed. "I'll leave it to those guys... I would really want to know what I'm doing versus just hopping in there and thinking I can do the things they do," he told For The Win.
Sports superstars Shaquille O'Neal and Floyd Mayweather—and even Betty White—have been one of the 90 guest stars on Raw since it became a recurring feature, the report noted, but the WWE no longer invites a star on a weekly basis.
Everyone will have to wait if Flo Rida will pick a fight on Monday. Tune in Monday at 8pm EST on USA Network to watch Raw or catch it here.
