With the long weekend right ahead of you, Houston and Dallas offer a wide array of activities to keep your family and friends busy for Labor Day 2013.
Here is a list that you can refer to from August 31 to September 2:
August 31 - The Woodlands Kiwanis Kid's Fishing Tournament, 7am to 12nn
Enjoy free fishing with free food and drinks. Perfect for families with kids from toddlers to 16 years old. Registration starts as early as 7am and fishing starts by 8am.
August 31 - Labor Day Weekend Party Barge
Get ready for some amazing weekend party on Lake Conroe.
August 31 to September 1 - Live Music for the Labor Day weekend at Waterway Square
Features live music from 6pm onwards and fireworks display by 9pm. Location is at The Woodlands.
September 1 - Christ on Campus Concert
Enjoy the finest of Christian Hip Hop with your entire family and enjoy a unique atmosphere of praise and worship. This will be at The Real Worship Center by 5:30pm.
September 1 - Labor Day Luau
Party begins at 6pm with a Limbo Contest that can allow you to win up to $500 in cash and prizes. You can RSVP via Eventbrite to get FREE Admission.
September 1 - The Ginger Man Labor Day Party
Bid summer goodbye by attending the party and enjoy live music at The Ginger Man. Its Pint night and live music starts at 8pm.
September 1 - Nox Labor Day Sunday
Reserve a table at the Nox for their Labor Day Party hosted by DJ Jamie Harvey. Doors will stay open from 10pm up to 2am.
September 2 - Free Day of Yoga
Various local yoga studios will hold free yoga classes from 9am to 11:30am at the Rothko Chapel.
September 2 - Labor Day Monday

Above all, the entire city of Houston offers a free ride at the Metro as announced by the METRO Board of Directors. The bus and light rail services will be free from August 31 to September 2.
