Katie Couric John Molner Wedding 2014: Former Host Marries Fiance in 'Low-Key' Ceremony
Katie Couric has found her happy ending. The global anchor of Yahoo News married John Molner, a New York Financier, in a small and intimate ceremony at the celebrity's East Hamptons, New York home on Saturday.
People confirms that the couple, who dated for two years and were engaged since September, married in front of a small gathering of 50 that included only friends and family.
"We wanted to keep the wedding just very low-key," Couric said before walking down the aisle. "This is not my first rodeo so I didn't want to go too crazy and neither did John."
The highlights of the low-key event included readings and a serenade by the pair's children. A good friend, John Ellis, officiated the wedding.
"So excited to make my debut as Mrs. John Molner!," tweeted Couric on her wedding day. She also gave audiences a sneak peek of her wonderful wedding in a photo that showed the pair looking into each other's eyes with smiles beaming from ear to ear.

The veteran host wore an ivory Chantilly lace gown by Carmen Marc Valvo.
The happy couple, while observing traditional touches to their wedding, had some pretty modern twists of their own.
According to the Daily Mail the search for a gown wasn't easy and Couric admitted she tried on a number of dresses before settling on the final one. "I hope this isn't bad luck but I actually tried it on for him," said the blooming bride to People Magazine, adding, "we're a very modern couple."
She also disclosed that her husband was very involved in the preps, at times, more so than she was and even joked how her significant other was a "Groom-zilla."
This wedding marks a second marriage for Couric whose previous husband, Jay Monahan, passed away in 1998 from colon cancer at the young age of 42, notes USA Today. Katie had two daughters with her first husband, Ellie, 22, and Carrie, 17.
The lovely couple couldn't be more in sync. They are both from the Midwest, with her new husband heading mergers and acquisitions at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in Chicago, reports ABC News.
"He's great. He's from Chicago. I love Midwesterners!" she said last year of Molner.
So what's next for the newlyweds? Their honeymoon is set sometime in December. While the destination hasn't been settled, New Zealand is a strong candidate as the Daily Mail notes a previous comment from Couric: "I've never been there and always been on my bucket list."
