'Sex Tape' Release Date, Cast & Trailer: Cameron Diaz & Jason Segel Raunchy Yet Funny in New Teaser
Three years after "Bad Teacher" was released, Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel have reunited for a new film titled "Sex Tape" and the raunchy comedy's red-band trailer is absolutely hilarious!
MTV has exclusively premiered the not safe for work (NSFW) trailer of the film that has some mature, although comedic scenes involved.
The two-and-a-half minute trailer is about a married couple, Annie and Jay, who are trying to spice up their sex life. After 10 years of marriage and kids, their private life has been found wanting and decided it'd be in their marriage's best interest to film their very own sex tape, featuring every position that can be found in the book, "The Joy of Sex."
While the couple agreed to delete the video, which they filmed on their iPad, by the time they woke up the next morning, their iPad synced to the cloud and has been streamed to all the iPads that they gave out to their friends and family over the holiday season.
The film follows the pair as they're supported by pals Rob Corddry and Ellie Kemper in their mission to retrieve all of the iPad devices.
As a side comment, with all the screen time and complete set of Apple products the film puts on display throughout the film, be it Mac computers, iPhones and the iPad tablet, it gets one wondering if there might be a tie up between the film's production and the tech giant.
Recently, 34-year-old Segel revealed to Vanity Fair that in another x-rated comedy he filmed, namely "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" he forgot to tell his mother about his frontal nudity which resulted in his mother's sob fest.
His mother even wrote an email to friends and family saying, "I would like to inform you all that Jason has chosen to do full-frontal nudity, however, it is not gratuitous and is essential to the plot," recalled Segel.
Hopefully the "How I Met Your Mother" star has told his mom ahead of time if anything is going to be shown in this new film.
"Sex Tape" is directed by Jake Kasdan, Diaz and Segel's director from "Bad Teacher" and was penned by "The Back-Up Plan" writer Kate Angelo.
The film is set to be released on July 18. It will be up against other anticipated, heavy-hitting films like "Hercules" starring Dwayne Johnson and "Lucy" featuring Scarlett Johansson.
Below is the red-band trailer direct from MTV while the second is the latest official trailer released earlier this year.
