Pokémon X and Y Rumors: Three New Legendary Pokémon, Fairy Type Speculation, Elite Four Changes Hit Latest Rumor Mill [Trailer]
A new batch of rumors for "Pokémon X and Y" have surfaced, from potential legendary Pokémon, gyms and the Elite Four.
The Nintendo 3DS-exclusive games have been confirmed to take place in the region of Kalos, a star-shaped land with Lumiose City serving as the central hub of the area. Lumiose City is the location of an Eiffel Tower-esque structure that can be seen in previously released footage, as seen in the trailer below.
But with every confirmation comes speculation. According to the latest rumors, three additional legendary Pokémon is based on will accompany the confirmed Yveltal and Xerneas. One of the unconfirmed legendary Pokémon is allegedly based on a "classic Chinese dragon" and will have three forms. It will apparently be Dragon and Fire type Pokémon.
The second rumored legendary is a dual-type Pokémon: Steel and the long talked about Fairy.
A third legendary is also dual-typed with Poison and Flying, based on the Zhenniao, which resembles a bird.
As for the sixth-generation's gyms, the report stated it will be Bug, Fairy, Normal, Fighting, Ghost, Ice, Fire and Psychic. This does contradict a previous rumor from March, which noted "Pokémon X and Y" would have Dark, Rock and Steel type gyms.
The Elite Four will also see changes. Typically, the Elite Four focuses on specific types of Pokémon, however, the rumor mill says they will focus on stats like HP, Attack, Defense and Speed instead. The Elite Four rumor is also different from a previous rumor that they will follow Fire, Grass, Water and Electric types---symbolic to the first-generation games.

Of course, the information should not be taken as 100 percent fact just yet, but fans may witness more news in less than two weeks as Nintendo willreportedly have a session for "Pokémon X and Y" with Game Freak Inc. and "Pokémon X and Y" director Junichi Masuda and The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekaz Ishihara on June 11.
The playable characters have also been confirmed. Users can pick either a male or female hero and alternate new attires and accessories as the story progresses.
"Pokémon X and Y" will be released in October across Australia, Europe, Japan and North America. Accompanying the already confirmed Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Xerneas, Yveltal and Sylveon are Helioptile, Fletchling, Gogoat and Pancham. The 10 new Pokémon join a new Mewtwo form.
