'Arrow' CW TV Show Season 3 to Include the Blue Beetle?
Four new characters are set to bring tons of excitement to fans in the upcoming third season of "Arrow".
TVLinecom reports that casting calls for the roles are already underway. Fans have been speculating that based on TV Line's descriptions, one of the new characters could actually be Ted Kord aka Blue Beetle re-invented.
For those who aren't too familiar with the Blue Beetle, he is a DC comics superhero whose great power is based on his high-level intellect and advanced technology which he uses to combat crime.
So here are the characters set to appear on the next season of "Arrow" according to TV Line:
"Daniel" is set to be a "major recurring character" for season 3 and is described as "a handsome, enigmatic and highly intelligent entrepreneur developing groundbreaking technology. (Picture a business magnate in Ryan Gosling's body.)"
The kicker in the description can be found here: "Though exuding charm and confidence in public, he privately harbors a tragic past that will drive him to become a tech-powered superhero. Watch for this formidable fella to be a love interest for Felicity and a rival of Oliver's - both personally and professionally."
TV LIne reveals the other three characters who will be featured in "Arrow's" flashbacks:
"SETH: A well-educated criminal with grand ambitions and a knack for chemistry, this potentially recurring character gains power over his enemies by exposing them to a drug that drains their willpower. Oh, and he is very much a physical match for The ‘Arrow'.
TOSHI: Majorly recurring in (at least) the Hong Kong flashbacks, Toshi (late 20s/early 30s) will serve as Oliver's teacher and handler, and eventually become a friend. A well-trained operative, skilled in weaponry, combat and intelligence gathering, he is also a devoted father and husband.
AKIKO:Toshi's wife is another of Oliver's Hong Kong caretakers, and is herself highly skilled in martial arts."
Movieplot.com adds an additional spoiler by speculating that Akiko may actually be Katana.
"Arrow" is fast becoming one of CW's most popular shows and has already managed to initiate a spin-off "The Flash" debuting this fall. It revolves around the story of Oliver McQueen a billionnaire playboy was shipwrecked in a desserted island for five years. Upon being found and returning home to Sterling City, he creates a secret persona in "Arrow", a vigilante who is attempting to right all the wrongs that his family along with many of Sterling city's priveldged have caused in the town.
