Air Jordan Release Dates 2014: AJ 1 Retro ’86 ‘Pure Platinum’, AJ 2 Retro ‘Infrared 23’ Arriving at Retailers Soon
Nike's Jordan Brand will release several retro sneakers in the coming days, and all of them are expected to make waves on the sneaker market.
Up first on the list of scheduled-for-release sneakers are the Air Jordan 1 Retro '86 shoes, which will come out in a black/white-pure platinum colorway on Saturday in select Jordan Brand stores worldwide.
This edition features a black-based leather upper part accented with white and pure platinum hints along with safari print details. According to Nike, this model combines the elements of the first two Air Jordan sneakers.
"Combining elements of the Air Jordan 2 into the Air Jordan 1 silhouette, the Air Jordan 1 Retro '86 blends the two iconic models seamlessly. Inspired by the Air Jordan 2, the "Wings" logo on the tongue and molded heel counter are instantly recognizable," Nike noted.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro '86 "Pure Platinum" will sell at $130 for men's sizes, while grade school sizes will sell at $95 per pair.
The newest colorways of the Air Jordan 2 Retro will also arrive on Saturday. The popular retro sneakers will come out in a black/infrared 23-pure platinum-white colorway—the first colorway of the Air Jordan 2 Retro in 2014.
"A fan favorite color, Infrared 23 makes its Air Jordan 2 Retro debut on the piping, heel counter and Wings logo. A speckled pattern on the toe and ankle area adds extra pop, while the textured elements reflect the classic Air Jordan 2 style," Nike noted.
The Air Jordan 2 Retro "Infrared 23" will be available in full family sizing. Adult sizes will sell at $150, grade school sizes for $115, preschool sizes for $75, and toddler sizes for $55 per pair.
Other sneakers to watch out for include the first colorways of the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low—the black/night shade-white-volt-ice colorway—that will come out on April 19 worldwide.
This edition sports a black-based upper part, and, unlike previous colorways of the shoe, this one features a snakeskin portion instead of the traditional patent leather on the upper.
The Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "Green Snake," which is the first of three AJ 11 Low colorways this year, will sell at $150 per pair.
