'Bones' Season 9 Episode 21 Spoilers: Booth and Brennan Investigate a Murder Victim Who Was Cryogenically Frozen [Video]
In the next all-new episode of "Bones" on Monday, the Jeffersonian team will tackle a murder involving a woman who was cryogenically frozen and dumped, while Booth will be up for a promotion that could potentially shake things up for his family.
In a promo for the upcoming episode, which is aptly titled "The Cold in the Case," Booth and Brennan take a trip to a cryogenic preservation facility to learn more about the victim's life. However, while they are there one of the doctors tells them that it would be his honor to freeze their brains, which doesn't sit too well with Booth.
In the meantime, Booth, who beat his own personal record on the FBI Competency tests in last week's episode, will be offered a promotion that would affect his whole family.
According to CarterMatt, the official synopsis for "The Cold in the Case," reads:
"The Jeffersonian team investigates the murder of a woman whose remains were found in a swamp. When the team realizes that her body was cryogenically frozen before it was disposed, it leads them to a cryogenic preservation facility where they learn more about the victim's personal life. Meanwhile, Cam is hesitant to meet Arastoo's father and mother (guest star Shohreh Aghdashloo) for the first time and Booth is up for a huge promotion that could uproot his entire family."
According to TVLine, executive producer Stephen Nathan hinted that Booth and Brennan may one day consider expanding their family. "That is something we've talked about at great length here," he said, adding that "We will definitely address that next season."
"Bones" S9E21, "The Cold in the Case," airs Monday, April 14 at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox.
