EA Sports UFC: Bruce Lee Pre-Order Bonus, June Release Date Announced
If you're a fan of Bruce Lee and the UFC, you'll want to pre-order EA Sports UFC.
The martial arts legend will be available on the first day for those who pre-ordered the game, which will be released on June 17. According to a press release from EA, Bruce Lee's character will be an incredibly accurate representation of him.
"This does not just look like Bruce Lee. It is Bruce Lee," said Ian Lloyd, the game's art director. "The way he carries himself, his fighting stance, his rippling physique, devastating speed, signature strikes and accompanying yells, whoops and shrieks."
Those who wait to buy the game will still be able to play with Lee, but only after unlocking him. Players will have to beat career mode in pro difficulty level or higher. He can be used as a Flyweight, Bantamweight, Featherweight and Lightweight.
Brian Hayes, the creative director, said the team has always wanted to include Bruce Lee in the game.
"It has always been part of our vision to have Bruce Lee the most iconic martial artist of all time, in the first ever EA Sports UFC," he said. "The team is very excited and tremendously honored to have the privilege of bringing Bruce Lee to life in our game. We've been working closely with the Bruce Lee team to ensure we represent the legend with as much visual and gameplay fidelity as possible."
EA's announcement also comes with a new video that gives another look at the game. It shows both female and male athletes before showing Bruce Lee.
