MLB 14 The Show: New Launch Trailer Released, Touts Cross-Platform Saves [Video]
With the 2014 Major League Baseball season officially underway, MLB 14: The Show has whet the appetite of baseball fans with a final look at the game before it launches on April 1 on PS3 and Vita.
The trailer is for the PS3 version of the game, where it boasts about being the highest rated sports franchise in the past eight years. The video also shows a few of the changes people can expect.
The biggest one being cross-platform saves, where you can start your season on PS3 but finish it on PS4. So far no comment has been made about any deal that allow users who buy the PS3 version to upgrade to the PS4 version at a reduced price, according to GameZone. The PS4 game will not be released until May 6.
Carrying over progress is a big selling point for this game, and it's not just limited to this year's version. Players will be able to save their franchises and carry them over into future releases in the series.
The trailer also says, "saves are better," "the future is better" and "the challenges are better."
The speed has also improved, and you can challenge friends.
Screenshots were recently released, which showed how detailed the players were. This video shows how fluid the characters are when they move.
This is all fans of the series will have to go on for now because the game has not been reviewed yet, and there is no demo available for the game.
