Kristen Stewart's New Cowboy Chic Chanel Ads Are In, Headdresses Are Out [Photos]

Kristen Stewart racks up fashion campaign ads just as frequently as she does movie roles, and in December, it was announced that she would also front Chanel's Paris-Dallas collection.

Five images were released on Monday, and the brand smartly chose not to include the Native American headdresses it featured on the runway. This pre-fall collection was criticized for being racially insensitive with its "Cowboy and Indians" theme. The pictures featured are partly cowboy and part over the top. But there seems to be a lot of denim and boots that even Kristen Stewart would wear on her downtime.

One of the pictures features furry arm covers that are slightly reminiscent of a pair worn by Rihanna on Vogue, except Rihanna's pair was bejeweled.

The images were taken by Chanel mastermind Karl Lagerfeld, and they have a sort of vintage effect. Stewart's hair is half up and half down, and there are cornrows involved.

The "Twilight" actress does not smile in any of the images.

The pictures were first revealed on Instagram by Chanel Boy, though they are due out in May.

Chanel Boy offered some insight about the looks: "[They come out in] in Mid June but these are actually not boots. They are socks with a trompe-l'oeil cowboy-boots design and then a regular men's looking shoe. To me, one of the best ideas from the show. So all you need to get are the socks !!"

Basically, unless those socks are highly overpriced, everyone will be able to afford the Chanel look.
