'Nashville' Season 2 Spoilers: Scarlett's Mother to Appear, Two Actors Promoted to Series Regulars [Video]
The April 2 installment of "Nashville" will be a mother of an episode.
Scarlett's (Clare Bowen) unstable mother will reunite with her daughter, but the reunion may not be a welcome one. Photos from the upcoming episode show Scarlett's mother Beverly (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson) showing up at one of her daughter's shows in San Francisco, and things "do not go well," according to the episode's synopsis.
Also, Maddie (Lennon Stella) and Rayna (Connie Britton) will go to the media to tell their stories, and Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) will call her former flame Charlie to help advertise for her tour.

In other "Nashville" news, two characters have been permanently added to the cast.
Oliver Hudson and Will Chase have been promoted to series regulars on the series should the network renew the show for a third season, TVLine reports. Hudson plays Edgehill Republic CEO Jeff Fordham, who handles the careers of Rayna, Layla (Aubrey Peeples) and Will (Chris Carmack).
Former "Smash" actor Chase plays country music star Luke Wheeler, who is romantically involved with Rayna.
On the last "Nashville" before its week-long hiatus, Maddie rebelled and Juliette broke big news about her career.
In "We've Got Things To Do," Maddie is shirking school work and being actively rebellious, frustrating Teddy (Eric Close) and Rayna. Maddie says she wants to live with Deacon (Charles Esten). She even goes so far as to introduce herself in an online video as "Maddie Claybourne."
Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) agrees, per Rayna's request, to keep quiet about signing on to Highway 65, and also agrees to kick Will and Layla off her tour. Juliette, who is already annoyed, then has a spat with Avery (Jonathan Jackson) after she learns that he is considering producing the rest of Scarlett's album.
Later, at the Highway 65 party, Juliette hears music producers fawning over Scarlett, which pushes her over the edge. She then takes the stage and announces, to Rayna's chagrin, that she is a new Highway 65 artist. Juliette later apologizes to Rayna by performing a duet with her at the Grand Ol' Opry.
Avery also tells her that he'll turn down Scarlett's request if she wants him to, but he would rather not.
Meanwhile, Deacon is aware of Megan's odd behavior, but he's preoccupied with an upcoming tour with his old friend (and Rayna's current boyfriend), Luke Wheeler.
Brent returns as Layla's manager, and he tells Will that people are starting to talk about him getting him fired, and that men from his past could potentially come forward. To squash the gay rumors, Will does something drastic: he proposes to Layla, and she says yes.
On the next episode, "Your Wild Life's Gonna Get You Down," Maddie will face off with Rayna and Luke will struggle with his big secret.
The next episode airs Wednesday, March 26 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC. Watch the promo below.
