Watch Jennifer Lawrence Rock Out to Santana in 'American Hustle' Deleted Scene [Video]
On "American Hustle," Jennifer Lawrence's Rosalyn Rosenfield was opinionated, loud and had a penchant for crazy hairstyles.
And in a deleted scene on the DVD and Blu-ray versions of the movie, Lawrence is shown dancing and lip-syncing to Santana's "Evil Ways" in the Rosenfeld's living room for about four minutes. According to Buzzfeed, director David O. Russell shot the whole scene in one take.
When the song comes on, Lawrence is vacuuming the carpet of her home.
She starts off just lip-syncing, but eventually she becomes much more into the song and starts dancing. She even turns pictures on her dresser, as she shakes her hip and moves her head from side to side. She crouches down on the floor and really goes for it. At one point, she plays the air guitar. Her movie son just sits on the couch, with his legs crossed, sort of unfazed. Perhaps this is something Rosalyn Rosenfeld does every time she cleans.
Either way, it's a great look into the personality of Jennifer Lawrence, and though she was already funny in the movie, this could have easily become one of the most memorable scenes of the movie had it been originally included.
In the movie, she is instead seen lip-syncing to "Live and Let Die" by Wings.
The actress was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for this role, but she ended up losing to "12 Years a Slave" star Lupita Nyong'o. But she probably wasn't too broken up about it. She did get to eat pizza at the ceremony that aired earlier this month.
