Angelique Boyer Denies Domestic Abuse Claims: 'He Never Physically or Verbally Attacked Me'
Angelique Boyer finds herself once again having to speak out about her split from José Alberto Castro.
Though the couple, when they announced the breakup through Twitter, asked for people to be considerate of their privacy, they have dealt with many rumors about their split. The latest rumor? The real reason the relationship ended was because Castro hit Boyer.
In a new statement posted on Twitter, Boyer says she is hurt and sad that rumors continue to circulate about the couple's breakup.
"Throughout my career I have avoided giving interviews with publications that talk about my personal life. However, I am very sad and hurt by the series of defamatory statements said today about José Alberto Castro and my relationship with him," she said.
She continued: "Jose Alberto only dedicated his time to taking care of me as no man has ever done before in my life. He never physically or verbally attacked me, and he showed me in the time that we were together what a loving relationship is, which is based on respect and integrity."
In the slightly more than a week since the relationship has ended, Boyer has had to defend her ex-boyfriend several times. Mostly, people are placing the blame on him, saying that his bad past and jealousy are one reason for the breakup. Sources have also said that the couple split because Boyer wanted to be a mother, and Castro did not want children.
Boyer has also been blamed for the split. Some accused her of dating her "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" co-star Sebastián Rulli.
She finished the note by saying, "My friends and many others know this is true. The rest is defamation not only against José Alberto, but also against me. And it hurts the memories of my most important relationship in the last few years of my life. Thank you again to those that have respected my privacy and José Alberto's."
Castro has not been vocal about the split.
